Created to help parents understand what to expect as they navigate the Juvenile Dependency system, this short documentary provides an overview of the purpose and process in and out of Juvenile Dependency Court. Parents will learn timeframes, wht to expect from the different court hearings, and the unique roles and responsibilities of the social worker, attorneys, parents and judges. Focusing on the first-hand experience of a real family successfully navigating the system, this video includes interviews with the Nevada County Child Protective Services Program Manager, County Counsel, a Juvenile Court judge and the parent herself.
